Data
Planner is pre-packaged with a range of valuable Census 2000 data and other important local geographic and school data. These are supplemented with a library's own outlet and management data…circulation, collections, facilities, seating, computers, and more. And, we provide current population estimates and two population projections to periods of your choice.

Census 2000 Data
Available at the finest level of geography, from Census tracts to blocks including age, race and ethnicity, households, occupied housing units, language spoken, place of residence, school enrollment, educational attainment, disability, employment status, work status, occupation, household income, public assistance, and poverty status.

School Data
Obtained from the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) includes the type of school, school status, grades offered, school level, special programs, enrollment by grade, race and ethnicity, and teacher data.

Geographic Data
Geographic data includes streets, highways, and railroads; boundaries (city, county, and state); landmarks; and parks, rivers, and lakes; among others.

Population projections
Two population projections (future and long-term) plus a current year estimate are provided for age groups at the block level and annually updated. The future projection is usually a five to ten year horizon of the client's choosing; the long-term projection is usually a 20-year horizon.

Library Data
Each customer enters specified library data into a Microsoft Access database template provided by CIVIC Technologies, including the following:

Usage > borrowers, circulation, reference questions asked, programs, audience, gate counts, and volunteers.

Operations > days and hours open, staff levels, operating cost and revenue, and cost of service.

Patrons > geocoded density maps depicting cardholder, borrower, and items borrowed use patterns.

Computers > public access and dedicated/special use computers.

Facilities > square feet, year built, meeting rooms, conference rooms, parking, public seating, reader seats, resource centers, and special services.

We can add your own unique data such as local school data, unique additional library data, additional census data, survey results, political boundaries, zip codes, and street base data, among others.
